COLBY, KANSAS

Known as the 'Oasis on the Plains', Colby is a community where small-town character meets continued investment, growth, and opportunity.  Home to approximately 5,400 residents, Colby serves as a regional hub in Northwest Kansas, conveniently located along I-70.  The town is home to Colby Community College and the Colby Event Center, a 65,000 square-foot recreational facility built in 2021. Colby is also home to the newly built Citizens Health facility, bringing expanded healthcare services and modern facilities close to home. With a lazy river, multiple slides, and dedicated competition pool, Colby Aquatic Park has become one of the community's favorite places to gather during the summer. Colby offers a network of parks and walking trails, adding another dimension to the community.  Together, these investments reflect a community that is proud of its roots while continuing to build for the future - making Colby a great place to live, work, play, and call home!

With a population of approximately 2,400 residents, Oakley offers the welcoming atmosphere of a small Western Kansas community, with the convenience of its location along I-70, U.S. Highway 40, and U.S. Highway 83.  Agriculture, local businesses, and strong community connections remain an important part of life in Oakley.  The community also has a strong connection to its western heritage, with the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center and heroic statue, as well as the striking Monument Rocks just south of town, offering one of the region's most recognizable natural landmarks.  More recently, the new Western Vista Complex has added a modern space for recreation, athletics, community events, and gatherings.  At the same time, Oakley continues to look toward the future through new investment and improvements, including plans for updated school facilities.  With its rich history, Western character, and people who care deeply about the community, Oakley remains a place where residents can put down roots and feel connected to the community.
